Welcome to The Nearlywed,

This site has truly been a labor of love. When I was planning my wedding a little over a year ago, I sought out a place where I could go for some great inspiration, help and really just some moral support along the way. Our wedding was everything I could have dreamt and more – a day we will both remember. Here’s a little secret – I didn’t love the process, but I was thrilled with every single detail about our wedding day. Our vendors all came together to create the wedding of our dreams, which was featured in the spring 2017 edition of Ceremony magazine. It’s also featured here and here.

I work full time as an assistant director of writing in the health care industry, and my husband operates a very busy branch of the wholesale auto industry in our town. Life gets busy – throw in wedding planning – and it gets even busier. I’m here to offer some of the tips and tricks for all of you brides-to-be. My hope is that this is a place where you can come gather some pro-tips and gain some helpful insight for your big day. Listen, planning a wedding doesn’t have to be hard – and dare I say, you might even enjoy the ride!
