Wedding Decor: Mercury Glass Votives

Did you know that there are some easy ways to save some money when it comes to your floral budget? Flowers can get pricey. We lucked out and found a fantastic florist in California (so if you are in the Los Angeles area and getting married soon, I’d be happy to provide a personal recommendation. Email us: info@thenearlywed.com). We could not have been more thrilled with our wedding flowers. He stayed within our budget and everything turned out beyond my expectations. Some florists will charge you a fee to rent centerpieces they already have on hand. Other florists might not charge a fee at all.

However, a quick way to enhance some centerpieces without spending a ton, is to include tons of votives (think: on the tables right outside your reception and on the actual tables to enhance your candles). Our florist allowed us to use his mercury glass candle holders free of charge, and we were responsible for buying our own votive candles to put inside the holders. Although, we found a set of 72 silver mercury votive holders here:

Gold mercury ones can be found here, although, we found they come in sets of 15:

These mercury holders make the room look absolutely magical, and they are such a great (inexpensive) addition to your flowers. Many florists recommend you choose some tall centerpieces and some shorter ones. These mercury votives are a great enhancement to both of those options.

You can bulk order your votive candles here (our florist recommend you purchase the votive candles that came in the glass containers, and these come in a set of 48). Like these:
